I have been working in educational robotics for more than ten years, developing students, coaches and robotics teams through training, competitions and hands-on learning experiences.
Since 2024, I have served as the National Organizer of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Mexico. Under this work, the Mexican WRO community has grown to more than 15 tournaments per year across different regions of the country, together with training initiatives designed to better prepare Mexican teams for national and international competitions.
My work also extends to the international robotics community. I have participated in the development of virtual robotics competitions, challenge design and tournament management, including work with Virtual Robotics Games (RVG) and Virtual Robotics Toolkit (VRT).
I am passionate about creating opportunities where students can learn programming, robotics, problem-solving and teamwork through meaningful challenges and high-level competition.
Virtual Robotics Toolkit - Competition & Challenge Development
I have developed and managed international virtual robotics competitions using Virtual Robotics Toolkit (VRT) and Virtual Robotics Games (RVG).
- RVG Championship (2020–2024): Developed and managed an international competition that reached 11 countries.
- WRO Robot Virtual Games (2020–2022): Helped develop and operate the competition during the COVID-19 pandemic, reaching 20+ countries and 1,800+ teams.
- K12 Robotics Competition (2023–Present): Competition development, challenge creation, testing and virtual competition management using VRT.
My work includes challenge development, competition rules, tournament management and technical implementation.
Robotics Coach — Educational Robotics · 15+ Years
I began teaching educational robotics in 2010, working with students of different ages and experience levels in robotics, programming and competition preparation.
As a WRO robotics coach, I have guided teams through programming, strategy, robot development and preparation for national and international competitions. My teams have achieved multiple regional and national WRO titles, as well as outstanding international results, including:
- 3rd Place — WRO Qatar 2015, Junior
- World Runner-Up — WRO Germany 2022, RoboMission Junior
Over the years, my experience as a coach evolved into broader responsibilities within WRO, including competition organization, judging coordination and event management.
WRO México & International Judging Experience
Since 2024, I have served as the National Organizer of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Mexico, helping coordinate more than 15 tournaments per year across different regions of the country, along with training initiatives to prepare Mexican teams for national and international competitions.
I have also served as Head Judge at practically all WRO México national and regional events, coordinating judges, supporting rule interpretation and resolving competition-related situations.
At the WRO Open Championship Panama 2025, I supported the overall organization and coordination of the judging teams. I served as Head Judge for RoboMission Junior, while also supervising and supporting the judging teams for RoboMission Elementary and Senior.
