Superintendent's Weekly Update March 18th, 2022

March 25, 2022

Dear Weymouth Public Schools' Families,

This week was all about excellence in the district, and I'll be the first to say Weymouth Public Schools sure did shine.

We are incredibly proud to report the Weymouth High School Girls Hockey team received the James Mulloy Team Sportsmanship Award last week at TD Garden. As proud as we are that they received this prestigious recognition, we're equally proud of the great work our athletes put in both on and off the rink that made them worthy of this incredible accomplishment.

All of our seniors at Weymouth High School had a moment of excellence as they presented their capstone projects at the 2022 Capstone Fair. This is an important moment for students at Weymouth High School who work with an advisor to complete an independent project which synthesizes their learning from the electives in their career academy and demonstrates command of core 21st century skills in a real-world context.

Additionally, this week we had the opportunity to give a loud shout out to our traffic supervisors during National Crossing Guard Appreciation Day. We are so grateful of our traffic supervisors who work hard to keep our students and families safe this week and everyday.

Have a great weekend, we'll see you on Monday!

Best Regards,

Robert Wargo

Superintendent
