Nederland Middle-Senior HS Community,

Yesterday was the last day for students and today is the last day of the school year for teachers. Our teachers have done an incredible job of teaching and supporting students. While we are not perfect, we work to serve the students and families of Nederland the best we can. Early data indicates that we had strong growth for our students academically, which is our primary goal.

Additionally, students had a fun and engaging year with their classmates and their involvement they showed throughout the year. Our school community is healthy and strong.

Nederland Middle-Senior High School will continue to focus on providing excellent experiences and outcomes for students through learning, involvement and community for many, many years to come.

Have a great summer,

Gavan

Student Fees Student Fees

Dear Parents & Guardians,

As we wrap up the school year, this is a friendly reminder to check your STUDENT’S FEE BALANCE in Infinite Campus. Staying on top of these each year can help avoid any big surprises down the road—especially by graduation time! The easiest way to pay is online through Infinite Campus, but you're also welcome to stop by the front office with a check or cash. See Lulu Arauz, lulu.arauzcastex@bvsd.org. If you're looking into other options, like Free & Reduced Lunch (which also covers academic fees and Chromebooks), reach out to Lola Campos at dolores.campos-herzf@bvsd.org or 720-561-5942. We also have school-specific scholarships and financial aid available. Principal Goodrich is happy to help—just send him a quick note at gavan.goodrich@bvsd.org. Thanks so much, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!

As Summer approaches and thoughts turn to time off and recreation, I wanted to reach out and give you something else to think about. We need bus drivers. The Ned School Bus Terminal finds itself short staffed again and this Summer is the perfect time to get drivers trained and ready to start in August. If you or someone you know has any interest in a part time job with benefits, have them contact me. If you remember, a few years ago, we were forced to suspend a route and reconfigure others. Some areas are still not being serviced due to a lack of drivers.

Our drivers are members of this great community and provide tremendous value to working parents and the schools. We need your support to continue to make this happen. Have a great Summer and see you in August.
