Updates & info
Week 1...Back for the final half term of this school year! The weeks are filling up with events so please look at the diary dates and keep an eye out for updates via Teachers 2 Parents and Dojo.
Next week is the first of 2 workshops for families run by Autism Arena, a local charity, for information around neurodivergence. The session on Monday 9 June focusses of marking & burnout, and the session on Monday 23rd June is on strategise and wellbeing. These sessions are open to anyone, and you do not need to book: just come along.
LAST CHANCE STAR MAT Parent Survey The link is here https://edurio.com/poll/YvNT6O and the survey will be open until Monday 9th June. If you get the chance, please complete the survey so we can see what you think about what is going well and what we can work on in school. We promise it is shorter than the last one!
Class photos Today you should have had the link for ordering class photos. This is done completly online: we are not collecting any order forms in school so you are dealing directly with the photographers if you need any extra copies etc.
Sports day will be on Monday 21st July, with KS2 in the morning, and EYFS/KS1 in the afternoon.
Safeguarding newsletter The safeguarding newsletter for May is available on the website. This month focuses on issues from the Netflix drama incuding alternative meanings for emojis. https://primarysite-prod-sorted.s3.amazonaws.com/brayton-cofe-primary-school/UploadedDocument/a2ceb07a-937c-4aa5-94ba-fe413c732da5/spotlight-on-safeguarding-may-2025.pdf
PE kits We are seeing a lot of children, especially in Key Stage 2, who are not bringing a full PE kit to school so they are having tomorrow and share. Please make sure your child has their full kit, including shoes, in school all week, every week. Once the children move onto secondary school, fortgotten kit will not be tolerated: they will end up with negatives/comments so pleasehelp them to get into good habits now. Thank you.
Allyson Buckton (Headteacher) & Becca Cameron (Deputy Headteacher)
Whole School Attendance
Attendance bounced back this week after a lot of absence in the week before half term, mainly due to holidays taken in term time.
In terms of the actual figures, we now have access to better live data through the DFE systems. The chart below shows attendance so far against all schools nationally: we are the green line.
