Explorer Wednesday Briefing
September 16, 2026
Message from the Principal
Hello, Chloe Clark Families!
It’s hard to believe that we have already been in school for three weeks! Our students have been busy learning classroom expectations, building relationships, and settling into their school routines. It has been wonderful to see them getting comfortable and excited about learning!
We’re excited to announce that beginning tomorrow, students will be able to explore all of our recess zones! We know they’ll have a great time discovering new spaces and enjoying all that recess has to offer.
As the weather slowly begins to change, please remember to send a change of clothes for your child to keep at school. Students should also wear sturdy, weather-appropriate shoes and have a jacket on hand. As we know, Northwest weather likes to keep us guessing!
Finally, don’t forget to complete the Volunteer Clearance process so you can support our PTA during Recess Takeover on September 25. Recess Takeover is always a highlight for our students! They love having parents and family members join them for the fun at recess—and staying to enjoy lunch together makes the day even more special.
Have a wonderful week!
Warmly,
Loretta Duncan
Principal

The goals of Military-Connected Student Lunch Bunch are to:
· Strengthen resiliency skills
· Increase military-connected friendships
· Navigate changes related to military lifestyle
The MFLC program is designed as a positive and proactive program to help strengthen resiliency skills and offer emotional support as needed. MFLCs are also available to meet individually with students, consult with parents, families, as well as with staff related to student concerns of all grades, and to identify community resources.
To sign your child up for lunch bunch group (or individual check ins), please print, sign and return the parent consent form. You may also request a form from your child’s teacher. Your student’s participation is anonymous, consent forms are kept within the school and not shared with the DOD.
