Mrs. Lewis is excited to share news from the Library!
Grades 3–5: Optional Reading Challenge Students in grades 3–5 are invited to participate in an optional reading challenge designed to help expand the variety of books they read throughout the school year. The goal is for students to read 9 new books across nine different genres/categories by May 7, 2027. This is a fun way to explore new types of stories and discover new favorite authors and series! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1snsq2pUioym3P24pxeAe9NBkxF8qgUaiMaF3smdvycQ/edit?usp=sharing
Grades K–2: NH Ladybug Picture Book Award
Our K–2 students will participate in the New Hampshire Ladybug Picture Book Award! Students will read from the Ladybug book list from now until January during their library class, then vote for their favorite title. We can’t wait to see which book becomes the top pick!

Fire Drill Update
The Incident Command fire drill scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2026 was cancelled due to rain and will be rescheduled for a later date. Because this drill is more involved than a typical fire drill, we wanted to keep families informed. When it is rescheduled, you may notice additional activity on campus as we partner with the Nashua Office of Emergency Management, Fire Department, and Police Department to practice coordinated emergency response procedures. Students will still follow the same calm exit routine with their teachers.
We did hold a normal fire drill on Tuesday, and the kids did a wonderful job listening, exiting safely, and following directions. Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our school community prepared and safe.
Coats for Kids and Families
We are collecting gently worn, warm winter coats for both adults and children. Anton's cleaners cleans the coats and they are given out to those in need. You can drop coats off here at school. We will be collecting coats from October 5th-January 9th. A flyer with information went home with students this week. If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Thompson.
