The Weekly Update #7
September 11 -16, 2023
Message from administration
Dear Eastlake Learning Community,
Week 6 was amazing, filled with school spirit, high levels of rigorous learning, Saturday Walk for success with Dr. Carman, and a Saturday Learning camp for our scholars. We continue to build on our Tradition of Excellence. This week we look forward to homecoming festivities and continued instruction relevant to college, career, and military readiness.
Our feeder pattern continues to do very well and seeks opportunities to participate with us as one united learning community. We look forward to our Tuesday volleyball game vs. Franklin, Wednesday community pep rally, Friday football game vs. Coronado, and Saturday homecoming dance. The community pep rally is open to all our feeder schools, and parents. Please be sure to join us in one of the best parades you will ever see.
As always, please help us support student attendance by having your child come to school each and every day. Remember, if you are not 10 minutes early, you are late. School begins each day at 8:55 am.
Our area of focus this week in the classroom are our CTE and fine arts programs. They continue to do well and expose student talents in programs that balance academic learning with life long learning careers such as music, law enforcement, culinary arts, agriculture, business, cosmology, esthetics, and video production.
I am extremely proud of our teachers and how they engage our learners. Thank you Eastlake instructional leaders for your commitment to student success.
Respectfully,
Gilbert R. Martinez
