South Elementary

We hope everyone enjoyed a fun and relaxing break. On behalf of the entire South Elementary staff, thank you to the families who stocked our teachers’ break room, it was such a thoughtful and much-appreciated surprise to return to. We are excited and ready for a great 2026! A special thank you as well to our Strings students, who did a wonderful job performing for the school as we kicked off the new year on Monday.

Student Council had a very successful stuffed animal donation! We have filled this box 15 times with stuffed animals! Thank you for supporting us in helping make all of the memory residents at Wingate nursing home happy with such a nice surprise! Your stuffed animals will be loved in their new home!

Thank you to everyone who helped ensure that this year's food drive was such a big success!

Thank you to the PTA for supporting the visit we hosted today for grade 5 from Coco the hawk. Our students learned all about why Coco is considered a bird of prey and how humans have an impact on their habitats.

South Elementary School will be hosting our first annual Student vs. Teacher Basketball Game! The game will be held on February 6th from 5:30-7 and will be located at PSMS gym. All students and families are welcome to the big game but only 5th grade students are playing.

Players must arrive to PSMS no later than 5:15pm. If your child is interested in participating, please complete the form and we will be in contact with more details! Registration will remain open until January 16th at 5pm. T-Shirts will be provided.

Please Note: There will be a 20 student cap. Students will be chosen at random.

This registration form is for 5th grade students ONLY!

Thank you! We can't wait to see the big show down!
