Hawk Happenings

Dear Hawk families,

What an amazing first week we had! Students showed up as true GOLDEN HAWKS as evidenced by the number of positive office referrals and filled punch cards in just 5 days! We are ready to soar this year!

This year, we are moving to 2 newsletters per month (every other week). Time-sensitive items will be shared in Talking Points messages as needed. Please be sure that you have access to Talking Points as that will be our primary means of communication.

Our goal this year is 95% attendance or higher for the entire school year! We are off to a great start and want to keep the momentum going.

Remember, even if your child has an appointment, coming in late or leaving early is better than missing the whole day whenever possible.

We will also be celebrating attendance throughout the year! Classes with perfect attendance will be recognized each day, and we will have an overall monthly attendance winner!

Let’s keep showing up, learning, and reaching our goal together. Every day counts!

9/22 (T): PTA Ice Cream Social, 6-7 pm

9/29 (T): Fall Picture Day

10/16 (F): Professional Development Day - School Closed

10/20 (T): PTA meeting, 5:30 pm in the library

10/30 (F): End of 1st marking period - VFES closes at 1:10 pm

Classroom volunteers and field trip chaperones must have this completed in advance of the event. You must complete the process each school year, even if you did it last year. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Nicole in the front office @ nwolf@bcps.org
