We did it! Thanks to everyone’s amazing support, we’ve reached our very first Fund Run fundraising goal!
To celebrate, this Friday will be Crazy Hat & Hair Day!
Students and staff are encouraged to come to school with their most creative, colorful, or wacky hat or hairstyle.

Walkers Have the Right of Way!
When on school property, all students, parents, and visitors on wheels (bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc.) must dismount.
Please "walk your wheels" once you enter school grounds.
This simple rule helps ensure a safe path for all students and families walking to and from school.

Heritage Choir at the Rockies
Come support the Heritage Explorer Choir as they sing the national anthem at a Colorado Rockies Game.
Heritage is joining with Summit View and Sand Creek Elementary to sing the national anthem. Ticket sales from this link support all school choir programs.
Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is BACK!
Calling all 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders who love to read and enjoy a bit of competition! We will read a ton of great books and learn to work together as a team along the way.
Our informational parent meeting is on Wednesday, September 17th at 5:30 p.m. in the Heritage library. Please join us! This meeting is for ALL families who have participated previously or are new to the activity. Battlers (students) are not required to attend this meeting. If your child is interested, but you cannot make the parent meeting, please email Melissa Crooks at melissamcrooks@gmail.com.
The book lists are out now! Let's get reading today! Check out the books here. All local Douglas County libraries will have multiple copies available to check out/put on hold. Don't forget to ask about the "Your Lucky Day" section in the children's area of your nearest local library.
Book Club with the Principal

Heritage Has Talent!
This year’s Heritage Talent Show auditions will be held via video submission. All students are welcome to audition—whether solo or as part of a group (maximum of two acts per student).
Audition Guidelines:
Videos must be performance-ready and no longer than 3 minutes.
Submit your audition video by September 30th.
Every student involved in an act must submit a permission form to Ms. Hess by September 30th.

Parry's Pizza Night - TODAY
Ditch the dishes and head over to Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse (9567 S University Blvd) TODAY from 11:00am-9:00pm. Let them know that you’re with Heritage and 20% of the proceeds will come back to Heritage.
PTO Meeting Tomorrow

Fund Run Update
The annual Heritage Fund Run is one week away - Friday, September 19th. So far our Fund Run has raised over $18,000! To celebrate the $5,000 prize level, TOMORROW - 9/12, will be crazy hair/crazy hat day! We also reached the $10,000 prize level and we cannot wait to watch the Heritage Staff in a costume race before the Fund Run on September 19th. Keep those donations coming so the kids can enjoy a FOAM PARTY after they run. Help your teacher get on the leaderboard! Every classroom that reaches $1,500 will get to have a classroom T.P. Party! Ongoing Heritage PTO Fundraisers
Heritage Elementary participates in ongoing fundraisers such as:
- King Soopers Community Rewards Program - link your King Soopers card to Heritage Elementary School PTO and a portion of your purchase benefits our school!
- Use the Box Tops App and scan your receipt within 14 days of purchase.
- American Furniture Warehouse donates a portion of purchases when you mention Heritage Elementary.
- Anna Lamb, your local Disney and Universal Destination Vacation expert, will help you plan a magical vacation and help Heritage PTO at the same time.
- Deposit your Longmont Diary milk caps in the white bin outside the front office and Heritage PTO receives 5 cents for each milk cap through the milk caps for moolah program.
