⭐ AK Star Testing - Next Week! ⭐
AKScience and AKStar testing is upon us and we wanted to let our families know of the schedule change.
AKScience is only for our current 8th grade students only. This testing will be on April 2. Students will be testing in their Science classes. If they have Mr. Gustaveson will be testing in the am Periods 1-3. If they have Mrs. Serfass they will be testing in the pm Periods 5-7.
AKStar will be testing on April 7-8. On those days, we will be testing our Advisory classes and testing in the morning. On Tuesday, April 7, we will have a regular day, testing during Periods 1-3, and having Periods 4-7. On Wednesday, April 8, we will be having a flipped schedule, testing in the morning for Periods 7-5, and having Periods 4-1.
If you have any questions, please reach out to any of us. Stay tuned to the weekly newsletter for helpful tips for test taking. If you'd like to opt out, it needs to be done by March 31, 2026.

🛫 Leaving ASD at the End of the Year? 🛫
If your student is NOT returning to ASD after this school year, make sure you read this!
If your student is NOT returning to ASD next year, whether because you're moving out of state or your student is transferring to a different school district in Alaska, here are two important steps to know:
Step 1: Notify Mrs. Christina! Mrs. Christina, our Registrar, will be able to provide you with the withdraw process to ensure a smooth transition.
Step 2: Prepare your student to turn in their Chromebook at the end of the school year.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Christina Kelly at 907-742-3609 or by email at kelly_christina@asdk12.org.
