Bordeaux Elementary School
October 18 , 2026
Dear Bordeaux Families,
We are looking forward to seeing you all here this week for conferences. It’s not too late to sign up if you haven’t already done so. Also, please remember that we encourage student participation, so they should be coming to conferences with you. Each day this week is a 12:30 early release day with conferences held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday unless specific plans have been made with your student’s teacher. Please adjust your schedules to ensure students are picked up at 12:30 each day or that someone is waiting at the bus stops.
Bordeaux Commitments
Staff will create a warm and welcoming environment through proactive Tier I interventions and strategies, including student jobs, greeting students at the door, and utilizing agreed upon engagement strategies.
We commit to providing consistency with PBIS systems by knowing the whole child and meeting them at their level of need and support.
When we do this, students will experience feeling loved, respected, welcomed, and a sense of belonging.
Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Spring Book Fair starts tomorrow and runs all week. Students will be attending the book fair during their regularly scheduled library time. Worried about sending cash to school? Take the time to set up an ewallet. This allows students to shop the fair without bringing money to school. Families are invited to shop the book fair with their student 8:30 to 9am or before or after their students' conference time. The fair closes at noon on Friday. Thank you for supporting this exciting event! We are looking forward to this fun week!
SSD Strategic Plan
The Shelton School District is in the initial stages of developing a new strategic plan, as the current plan ends at the end of this year. Please take a moment to fill out the linked survey. It only takes a few minutes and provides us with important information on how we can best serve our community. Strategic Plan Family Survey
