Reviewing PowerSchool With Your Student

With one week remaining of the academic year, it is time to review your student's progress. Celebrate your student's learning and ask whether or not they have submitted all evidence of their learning.

Use PowerSchool to check in on your student's progress. The video below is a guide to help you review your student's learning.

If you read an "M," "1," or "2" in your student's measures and grades, please reach out to your student's individual teachers or contact our school to ask about your student's learning.

Personal Management, Active Participation, and Social Responsibility

For each class your student will not only be measured on the essential academic skills, your student will also be measured on Characteristics of a Successful Learner. These standards communicate your student's independence and consistency when demonstrating organization, in-class participation, and social awareness.

Social Studies 7th: Catapult Hands-on Learning

7th grade social studies students have been learning about medieval siege weapons and strategies. Students were given the opportunity to design and build their own catapults using popsicle sticks, rubber bands and spoons. Students tested their designs and made the necessary adjustments in preparation for our classroom Catapult Challenges. Classroom challenges included a distance challenge, an accuracy challenge and a strength & durability challenge in which students tested various payloads (marbles, marshmallows & pencil top erasers).

Estacada High School Athletics: For Outgoing 8th Graders

Welcome to Ranger Athletics! We would like to welcome your student to EHS this fall and get you all the information for our upcoming fall athletic programs. If your student is interested in any winter and spring athletics please email those coaches or the high school athletic office to get involved with any of our programs. All students planning on participating in athletics this next school year must complete the online athletic registration when it opens in July; including Athletic Participation Contract, Athletic Emergency Information Form, and Physical Examination Form (Physicals are good for 2 years form attached). In addition, the Student Body Card fee ($60) and Athletic Participation Fee ($175) must be paid before they can participate in any practices or competitions (August 15th). We are very lucky to have such capable coaches here at EHS to help all of our students succeed. Our athletic teams this past school year have not only played well but some have gone on to participate in Tri-Valley Conference Championships and OSAA State competitions. All student athletes participating in a school sponsored athletic program will maintain passing grades in at least five classes. Estacada High School is dedicated to the academic success of each student and we believe in supporting students in their pursuit of a balanced high school experience.
