We are looking for items to be donated to add to our kid friendly raffle baskets, parent themed basket and teacher themed basket.

Gift cards are also welcomed as an add on to a basket or if specified, so a PTA member may go purchase items for the baskets.

If anyone has beanie babies laying around and would like to donate, I will gladly accept those as well for prizes for the games.

Thank you for your support.

Our students have a blast at this event, but it takes a village to make it successful!

Join us at our Fall Festival and 1st Annual PTA Community Parade on October 27th!

As part of our school system’s commitment to equity and inclusion, we continue to focus on building community and creating welcoming environments for all students.

Last year, Halloween celebrations were only held in two HCPSS elementary schools. While we recognize that Halloween activities held during the school day have been a long-standing tradition in many Howard County schools, including Lisbon Elementary, the decision has been made to not hold Halloween-specific activities during the instructional day. While Halloween is not part of the Howard County Public School System’s curriculum, the greater concern was the growing number of Lisbon students who have been choosing to opt-out of Halloween celebrations in recent years.

This year at Lisbon, we are excited to announce that we will celebrate Halloween with our awesome PTA at our 1st Annual PTA Community Parade! We will kick off this year's Fall Festival events with our Lisbon Community Parade at 5:30 p.m.

This year's Fall Festival is being held on Friday, October 27. See more in the PTA section about how you can get involved! Please note that we will not hold Halloween parties or a parade during the school day. Students should not bring or wear costumes to school.

PTA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE POSITION ASAP

We need 2 PTACHC representatives. This position is Lisbon’s PTA representation at the Howard County PTA and is a parent advocate at the County level. PTACHC Representatives are a great opportunity to advocate for your child and all children. Meetings are held once a month at Homewood Center in Columbia from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and often have Board of Education members or elected officials Q&A’s. Only one representative needs to attend, the representative will then report at our monthly meeting about PTACHC information. This is an elected executive position and attends Lisbon PTA's December and June Executive Meetings. Please Contact Cathy Datz if you would like to be the PTACHC representative to be nominated.
