SHINE ON!
Week of October 12, 2026
No school Monday, Sept tuition, October fun!
Last week we had our first SHINE SESH! Each month our students learn a new social skill. September’s social skill was our school rules! We learned that we have rules at school to keep us safe! After reading “Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns to Listen”, we learned our school rules song. This week in Music and Chapel, we had our first set of chapel helpers and met baby Moses. We also discovered our music term for October, tempo: how fast or slow the music is. We practiced tempo using rhythm sticks and listened to Dolly Parton’s “I Believe in You”.
September tuition/Lunch Bunch invoices will hit your inbox tomorrow. We are switching to the end of the month for tuition to avoid Lunch Bunch credits/refunds. Feedback is welcomed and encouraged!
Save the date: Spirit Night at Fireworks Pizza : October 21st from 4-9pm.
Halloween at GBP is October 27 (T/TH 2s, T/TH 3s and Owls) and October 28 (MW 2s, MWF 3s and Bees). Students are invited to wear their (preschool appropriate) costumes to school on their Halloween day. Big People are invited to join us for a Halloween Parade in the Sanctuary. Individual classes will send out information regarding their classroom celebrations/needs. 2s and 3s will "trick-or-treat" in the building. Owls and Bees will walk across Wirt Street to the Town Hall offices for trick-or-treating. Only non-edible treats are permitted. More information to come!
Please remember to pull up as far as possible on Wirt Street during drop off and pick up. Also, please do not block the driveway to the left of the Wirt Street doors, we do not own that property. Lastly, please remember (and share with anyone else who may pick up your children): our Owls and Bees are in their classrooms until Noon. If you arrive before noon to pick up your Owls/Bees/siblings, please remain in your vehicle so you can pull up when other parents leave.
-2s and 3s pick up: 11:50am-12pm
-4s and siblings pick up: 12-12:15pm
