Greetings Falcon Community,

By April, there’s a noticeable shift on campus—in the best way. Classrooms continue to maximize learning through the spring months, students know what’s expected of them, and you can see how much they’ve grown since the start of the year. Lately, I’ve been especially impressed by how focused and confident students are during lessons, and how willing they are to take on challenges and support one another. This month brings opportunities to keep that momentum going while also looking ahead to the final stretch of the year. Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support—it truly makes a difference in the experience we create for our students every day.

As we head into California State Testing the week of April 13th for students in grades 3-5, you can support your child by keeping routines consistent—making sure they get a good night’s sleep, arrive on time, and have a healthy breakfast. Encouragement goes a long way, too; reminding them to simply do their best helps build confidence.

Camp Invention Summer School

The Summer School 2026 Application is now open! The Office of Student Learning Assistance is offering the Camp Invention intervention program from June 22 through July 17, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (No school on July 3). This engaging program is open to incoming 1st–8th grade students for Fall 2026. Through hands-on, real-world, project-based learning, Camp Invention helps students strengthen their creative problem-solving, literacy, and math skills. Breakfast will be available before school, and students will receive a snack and lunch during the program day. Use this LINK to register.

Our Shared Community

During the months of April and May, students will focus on the character trait of showing empathy and explore how our unique features connect us. As students learn about what makes each person special—such as their experiences, cultures, abilities, and perspectives—they will also practice understanding how others feel, listening with care, and showing kindness in their words and actions. Through classroom discussions, activities, and real-life examples, we hope to help students build stronger relationships and a deeper sense of respect for one another. For more information about this month’s book titles, please see the bookshelf graphic below.

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders

Thank you, parents, for your patience and cooperation in the parking lots during arrival and dismissal. It's been a smooth start! A quick reminder: if you wish to get out of your car with your student, please use a parking stall or street parking rather than the drive-through lane, as stopping there can block traffic flow and cause delays. Also, the upper parking lot is reserved for school buses and families who have students with disabilities.
