It's UIL Week, Plano!
GOALS FOR THE WEEK
1. Have an amazing UIL performance
2. Clean, clean, clean
3. Be better than ever
4. Remain laser-focused for the last two weeks of marching band
EVENTS THIS WEEK
1. Marching Rehearsal, this week
- Mon-Fri, 7-8:30a
2. Stadium Rehearsal, Monday 5-7p
- Class release from 7th period
- Transportation on your own
- At the end of 6th period, please be prompt in leaving campus with instrument & water bottle to ensure a 5:00p start. Every minute of rehearsal counts!
3. NO Sectionals this week
4. Band Booster Meeting, Tuesday 7p, PSHS Band Hall
5. UIL Region 25 Marching Contest, Wednesday @ Coach Kenny Deel Stadium (Melissa)
- Students excused from periods 1-6
- 12:15p performance
- Click HERE for tickets
6. Percussion load equipment, Friday during 1st period
7. Football Game #8 HOME vs. Lake Highlands HS, Friday, 7:00p @ Clark Stadium
- w/ 8th graders
- Class release from 7th period
- 3:43p - go to band hall, change into SHOW shirt, grey band shorts, grey socks, marching shoes
- 4:00p - gather outside in sections, welcome 8th graders as they arrive to PSHS
- Uniform Rack Locations: Woodwinds in Practice Rm Hallway & Uniform Rm; Guard in Ens. Room; Brass & Perc. in Band Hall
- Halftime:
- Repertoire for Planoettes: No Business (entrance), Toxic (routine), Grandioso (exit)
- 4:30p: Load equipment (take 8th graders with you for tour of Spirit One)
- 4:50p: Dinner on porch
- 5:20p: Change into FULL uniform - NO JEWELRY / HAIR UP!!!!
- Carry shako box to bus
- 5:35p: Uniform Inspection outside by buses
- 5:40p: Load Bus
- 6:00p: Arrive at Clark Stadium
- 6:20p: Exit bus in FULL uniform with all zippers zipped up (take shako in box with you) / unload
- Neatly stack cases & shako boxes by section in designated area / warm-up / parade block
- 6:35p: Grandioso step-out
- 7:00p: Kickoff
- AFTER GAME (do this in this order!)
- Unload Bus
- Check-in uniform on your designated Uniform Rack
- Get instrument from truck / store in locker or take home
- YES CiCi's this week
DUE THIS WEEK
1. Family Contribution Payment #1, PAST DUE
- $212.50 partial payment, or $425 payment in full
2. Band Spring Trip Deposit $90 - DUE upon registration
- Payment #5 - $98 - DUE WEDNESDAY
