Student Council presents CHOP Fundraiser & PJ Day on December 5th
Indian Lane’s Student Council is excited to sponsor a cozy school-wide PJ Day on Friday, December 5th to support Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)! Students are invited to come to school in their favorite pajamas as we join together to help bring awareness and raise money for an incredible cause. If your family would like to donate, simply scan the QR code available in the letter. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference. Thank you for spreading warmth, comfort, and kindness this holiday season!
The Generous Snowman
Please consider a visit to the Generous Snowman, our holiday giving program that supports families in need. The snowman display features tags that represent anonymous students and families, each with a suggested gift item. Your participation helps bring joy to our community during the winter season. If you would like to take part, the process is simple:
Visit the snowman located outside Mrs. Hilden’s office.
Select a tag. Each tag is labeled anonymously (for example, “Family #3, Student #2”) and includes a gift idea.
Purchase the gift.
Return the gift unwrapped, with the tag attached, to Mrs. Hilden by 12/15.
If you are unable to attend conferences but would still like to participate, please contact Mrs. Hilden at jhilden@rtmsd.org.
Thank you in advance for supporting our families during the winter holidays.

Indian Lane PTG Presents the 2025 Holiday Extravaganza
Saturday, December 6, 2025
The Holiday Extravaganza will take place on Saturday, December 6th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This festive community event will feature gingerbread house and sugar cookie decorating, kids’ shopping, local artisan and crafter products, and plenty of holiday fun with family and Bobcat friends.
We are very much looking forward to celebrating with you next week at the Holiday Extravaganza. Please find two important links below that will help you prepare for the day. Throughout the morning, families can enjoy kids’ shopping, a snack bar, vendor tables, and possibly some live music to create an even more festive atmosphere.
To ensure a successful event, we are kindly asking for parent volunteers and donations for both the snack bar and the candy decorating supplies. While some materials will be available through donations, we also encourage families to bring their own candy for decorating. The volunteer and donation link can be found here.
In addition, please use the link here to select your family’s decorating session time. Only one session is required per family.
We look forward to a wonderful morning together as we kick off the holiday season at Indian Lane.

Holiday Support and Resources for Families
With the fall and winter holidays upon us, I wanted to take a moment to reach out and let families know that there are some resources available for those who may need a little extra support during this time. We have a few programs that can help in various ways, so please contact me to learn more! You can reach me by email at jhilden@rtmsd.org or by phone at 610-627-7103.
Additional District Resources and Ways to Give Back
There are several wonderful ways through Rose Tree Media to support Indian Lane families this season:
-
Delaware County Food Bank Donations – A wonderful resource that provides a list of local donation sites for non-perishable food items.
-
Circle of Giving – Originally created at the start of the pandemic, this organization continues to support RTMSD families with essentials such as food, paper products, and hygiene items. Donations go directly to Ms. Martinez (School Social Worker) and Ms. Dacanay (Home and School Visitor), who distribute them to families in need.
If you have any questions, please contact:
Ms. Dacanay – bdacanay@rtmsd.org
Ms. Martinez – cmartinez@rtmsd.org
A Message from Mr. Ralph Harrison

RTMSD Mission and Vision Survey
As part of the Rose Tree Media School District’s strategic planning process, we are updating our mission and vision statements to reflect the values and aspirations of our community. Your voice is essential in this work.
We invite staff, parents, and guardians to complete a brief Google Form to share your perspectives on what makes our district unique, what experiences every student should have each day, and what qualities we hope to see in our graduates. Your input will directly inform the development of mission and vision statements that guide our work now and in the future.
Please take a few minutes to complete the Google Form here: RTMSD Mission & Vision
Thank you for partnering with us to shape the future of Rose Tree Media School District.
