Explorer Wednesday Briefing
April 16, 2025
Message from the Principal
Dear Chloe Clark Families,
We are right in the heart of Month of the Military Child, and to say it’s one of my favorite times of the year would be a huge understatement. Today, we had the honor of celebrating our military-connected families with a special breakfast—a small gesture to recognize the immense strength and resilience your families show every single day.
As a school community, we work hard to provide support, understanding, and connection to our students and service members as they navigate the ever-changing journey of military life. It’s a privilege we don’t take lightly.
I hope you’ve had a chance to see the beautiful pinwheel display at the front of the school. Each of our students “planted” a pinwheel—purple for our military-connected students and green for supporters. It was a fun, meaningful activity that reminded us just how wonderfully diverse and connected our school community is.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for entrusting your amazing kids to the caring hands of our Chloe Clark staff. We’re honored to walk alongside them—and you—each day.
With appreciation and a whole lot of purple pride,
Loretta Duncan
Principal, Chloe Clark Elementary

Counselor's Corner
Dear Families,
In April, we will begin a new series of lessons centered around the important theme of friendship. Understanding how to build and maintain healthy friendships is essential for our children’s social and emotional development.
Throughout this series, we will explore key topics, including the differences between healthy and unhealthy friendships. We will help children recognize the qualities that contribute to a positive friendship and identify when a friendship may need to change or end. Additionally, we will discuss friendship boundaries and how to handle situations when those boundaries are crossed, empowering kids to advocate for themselves and their needs.
Additionally, we will address common challenges in friendships, such as competition, control, and the natural changes that occur as friendships evolve. Our goal is to equip children with the tools they need to navigate tricky social situations with confidence and empathy.
We encourage you to engage with your child on these topics at home and share your own experiences. Together, let’s help our children cultivate strong, respectful, and lasting friendships!
Warmly,
Mrs. C
