Thank you to the PTA for hosting an awesome Muffins with Mom's event! Moms, grandmothers, aunts, and family friends gathered for muffins and quality time.

Our 2nd grade and 5th grade reading buddies had a special project-how to Make a Sun butter and Jelly sandwich!

The first grade kindness club strikes again! The first graders spread kindness throughout the school by delivering notes and special treats to teachers.

As the year wraps up, we wanted to share important information with families about leaving school early.

If a family contacts the office and shares that they are going on vacation and will not be in attendance prior to the end of the school year, the following will occur:

• Students will be DROPPED from enrollment as Early Withdrawal
• They will lose access to any online programs available over the summer
• The student issued Chromebook and charger must be returned to the LMC or a Push Coin charge will be issued
• A Chromebook and charger will be reissued when they return in the Fall.

If students are sick the last few days of school and did not return to complete the school year, they will not need to return their technology and will still have access over the summer.

We encourage all families to remain in attendance until the last day of school which will be Wednesday, June 1st.

*All 5th grade students will be required to return their technology and new ones will be issued at their Middle School in the Fall.

5th Grade Farewell Celebration – Tuesday May 31st 9 AM-3:15 PM at Cowlishaw Elementary School Permission Slip & Photo Release Waiver Must be Returned to School and the Activity Waiver Must be Completed Online by an Adult all 3 no later than Monday May 23rd.

• One Registration Per Family: Families with more than one child only need to enter shared information once and it can be applied in the system for all children in the household.
  
• Accept and Upload Documents, Save a Trip: During online registration, you will have the option to submit residency and complete other registration documents digitally, saving even more time using your mobile device or a scanner.
  
• Translation, Online Registration for You: Online registration is now translated across the District's top eleven non-English languages spoken by families: Spanish, Telegu, Hindi, Tamil, Urdu, Chinese Mandarin, Gujarati, Arabic, Marathi, Malayalam and Russian.
  
• PTA Membership and IPEF Donations: You can share you/your child(ren)'s information with the school PTA, as well as take next steps to join the PTA during online registration. Also, you'll have the opportunity to make a donation to the Indian Prairie Education Foundation (IPEF).
  
• Residency Verification: If you have children in different District schools, you will not need to visit each building - a residency verification for one student will automatically apply to eligible students.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A FUN WAY TO HONOR YOUR CHILD’S BIRTHDAY?

Cowlishaw’s LMC has the answer! Donating a book to Cowlishaw’s LMC helps to build our library collection and make your child feel special at the same time.

At some time during the month of your child’s birthday, we will invite your child to come down to the LMC and choose a book from the birthday cart. If your child’s birthday is in June, July or August, we will invite him or her to come down to the LMC during the month of his or her half birthday. There will be a flat $10.00 price for each book.

When your child chooses a book, we take his/her picture to put in the front of the book with a bookplate commemorating the donation. Your child’s name will go up on the Birthday Book Club bulletin board in the LMC, and your child will be the first to check out the book he/she chose! What an opportunity!
