Principal Message
I hope your summer was filled with fun, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. As we kick off a brand-new school year, I’m thrilled to welcome everyone back—students, families, and staff!
Stay in the Loop:
Our school newsletters, text alerts, and school-wide notifications are your go-to sources for important news, upcoming events, opportunities to get involved, and more. Please take a few moments each week to check these messages. Staying informed helps us all—and especially your child—have the best year possible. This Year’s Theme: “Every Piece Matters”
For the past six years, "You Matter" has been at the heart of who we are as a school community. It has guided our work, shaped our relationships, and reminded every student, staff member, and family that they are valued, seen, and important.
As we begin a new school year, we are excited to build upon that foundation with our 2026-2027 theme:
Every Piece Matters
This year, our theme will be represented by puzzle pieces. Just as every piece of a puzzle has a unique shape, purpose, and place, every person in our school community brings something valuable that helps complete the bigger picture.
At Tomahawk Elementary, we know that our success is not built by one person alone. It is created through the contributions of students, staff, families, and community partners who work together each day. When every piece is included, supported, and connected, we create something extraordinary.

💦Tomahawk's Summer Night on the Lawn is Back! 💦
☀️ Join us for our 2nd Annual Back-to-School Splash on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Tomahawk Elementary Playground!
Bring the whole family for a fun evening of reconnecting with friends, welcoming new families, and celebrating the start of another great school year. The Water Balloon Launch begins at 6:30 PM, so be sure to bring a large towel or sheet and a partner to join in the fun! We'll also have a designated baseball glove catching zone, plus a sprinkler, bubbles, water balloons, and sidewalk chalk, so there will be plenty of fun for everyone.
Free popsicles will be available for everyone, and new this year, we'll be offering a $5 cash-only meal deal featuring an all-beef hot dog, chips, and a bottled water. Every meal purchased helps offset the cost of this event, and any remaining proceeds go right back to the Tomahawk PTO to support our students, staff, and school throughout the coming year.
Don't forget your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, bug spray, and a towel or sheet for balloon catching. We can't wait to celebrate another school year with our amazing Tomahawk families!
Please note: This is a PTO-sponsored, but not PTO-supervised, event. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their own children throughout the evening.
