What ARE Scholarships?

Per the Federal Student Aid website, "Scholarships are gifts. They don't need to be repaid. There are thousands of them, offered by schools, employers, individuals, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, and professional and social organizations."

For much more information on merit vs. need, what kinds of scholarships are available, and more, please visit: https://studentaid.gov/understand-aid/types/scholarships

WE WILL BE SENDING OUT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS PRIOR TO WINTER BREAK, SO PLEASE STAY TUNED!

Don't Forget to Request Transcripts For College Applications!

Are you adding additional regular decision or rolling admissions colleges to your application list? Your school counselor CANNOT send any materials on your behalf until you request your transcripts in Scoir.

Requesting transcripts is easy; please follow this link for more information on what to do. You must please request transcripts in Scoir at least ten school days prior to your deadlines. For any early January deadlines, you must request these transcripts as soon as possible (and in advance of Friday, December 20th), as school counselors will be on winter break, as well.
