Dear Chloe Clark Families,

We’re off to a wonderful start to the school year! The first few days with our 1st–3rd graders have gone smoothly, and today we welcomed some of our brand-new kindergartners. What a joy to see their excitement as they begin their school journey—lots of smiles, a few nervous glances, and already many sweet memories in the making.

As we settle into routines, I want to share one important reminder: arriving on time each day makes a big difference for your child. Starting the morning with their classmates helps them feel settled, confident, and ready to learn. Arriving late can be hard on kids and means they miss out on valuable class time, as well as those important morning moments that set the tone for the day. Thank you for helping your child begin each school day with a strong start.

If you ever have questions, concerns, or just want to check in, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We value our partnership with you and know that when we work together, our students will grow and bloom.

Here’s to a year full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories!

With appreciation,
Loretta Duncan
Principal, Chloe Clark Elementary

Important Reminders Important Reminders

  • For the safety of all students and to help keep our pick-up process running smoothly, we kindly ask that once you have picked up your child, you promptly exit the pick-up area. Lingering in the area can create congestion and pose a safety risk to other children and families. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in keeping our school community safe!

  • If you have not already signed the Family & Student Handbook form please do so by September 30th. You can find the Handbook on our website: https://www.steilacoom.k12.wa.us/for-families/handbook. The form to sign takes one minute and was sent to families through Parent Square.

  • Make sure to fill out our volunteer application if you would like to help out in the classroom, on field trips, or for our PTA recess takeovers. The application can be found by going to https://www.helpcounterweb.com/welcome/apply.php?district=steilacoom. Once the application has been filled out and approved it is good for two years.
