Dear families,

Thank you to everyone who attended Thursday evening’s Science Fair event. It was a huge success with more than 70 people attending! It was amazing to see our students sharing and talking about their science projects and showing their excitement for science that has relevance to their lives. They chose the topics, created the media, and presented in ways that were important to them–a clear example of student choice and empowerment! Kudos and appreciation for all the staff who supported this event, especially Mrs. Lawson who inspired our incredible scientists to showcase their talents!

Students are on vacation this week–we return to school on Monday, April 27th. Please check the Important Dates below because before we know it, the end of the year will be upon us. A few field trip dates have changed due to the update of June 15th as the last day of school for students.

A few other reminders: At school events we expect school rules to be followed including no cell phones for K-5 students. Please, please come out and vote on Tuesday, April 28th for our school budget. The side door to the art room will be open for voting from 10:00-7:00 pm. Your vote is imperative as we want to continue the good work we do at Lunenburg now and for many years to come.

Have a great vacation–we look forward to seeing our students on Monday, April 27th!

With love and gratitude,

Mrs. MacQueen

School Meals

The Kingdom East School District provides several opportunities for students to access healthy and nutritional food before, during, and after school. Dependent on federal grant funding, pre K-8th grade students receive fresh fruit and veggie snacks during the week, and students up to age 18 who stay after school receive a free after school supper. Breakfasts and lunches are free this year for all students. The Abbey Food Service Group currently provides delicious, nutritious, and high quality meals to students and staff.

Even though meals are now free to all students, our schools still need to gather household income data. Help us provide the best education possible for your children. Filling out this form only takes a few minutes. It will help your community, your school and your property taxes. The information you give helps your school access federal and state education dollars. This funding supports reading, math, science, arts, PE, afterschool and other vital programming. 2025-2026 Household Income Form
