News on the Avenue
Week of May 6 - 10
Beginning May 1st, your 3rd grader will be taking the WV General Summative Assessment. By working together, we can make your child’s testing experience positive and successful. Here are some suggestions that you can do to help your child succeed:
- Make sure your child gets a good night’s rest
- Encourage your child to eat a healthy breakfast
- Make sure your child arrives at school on time every day
- Gently encourage your child to do their best
Water Balloon Pinata
Fill large balloons with water, knot them, then use a short length of string to tie them to tree branches or a clothesline. Then grab a Wiffle ball bat and take turns being the blindfolded hitter. Instead of candy, you'll all get a nice, refreshing shower after this water balloon game!
Water Bottle Freeze Tag
Grab some spray bottles, fill them with water, and let your little ones run wild! A wild game of water bottle freeze tag is a great way to pass the time on hot summer afternoons.
Sprinkler Fun
Don't forget to just turn on the hose and let the kids get wet.
