Painting Bowls with Mrs Honey
Join us as we paint bowls for the 'Empty Bowls' fundraiser that raises money to reduce food scarcity in Henderson County.
The bowls will be made and fired by local artist extraordinaire, Honey B, and painted by our UU youth. This is a beautiful annual tradition, and you and your family are invited to participate!
Lunch and Learn with Kaleb Graves
Kaleb Graves, the Congregational Mobilizer at the Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of NC. will present a talk a about the “Nehemiah Project”, a $48million-dollar Christian Nationalist effort to take over local government offices in NC, They are putting a lot of effort into Hendersonville. Kaleb was raised in a white Christian supremacist sect, which he later disavowed as an adult. This has made him particularly passionate about opposing “Christian Nationalism.”
