Cliff's Notes Cliff's Notes

Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,

We are back! There is so much to look forward to as we begin our learning journey for the 2026-2027 school year. Every interaction is an opportunity to boost a learner forward, nurture wellbeing and resilience, and strengthen the connections that make our schools thrive. We won’t always get everything right on the first try—but we can listen, adjust, learn from our mistakes, and find our rhythm together. Learn more about the good work on this journey by following the District's new official Instagram account at bedfordps_01730 to get latest news. BHS and Lane School also have setup new Instagram accounts at bhsprincipal_comeiro and lifeatlane01730.

This year, Bedford Public Schools is offering a new voluntary device protection program for school-issued Chromebooks and iPads used by students in Grades 6–12. The program is intended to minimize delays in repairing or replacing devices so that students continue to have the technology they need for learning. For $50 per student, enrolled families receive $0-deductible coverage for damage, theft, loss, and hardware or battery failure. Families who do not enroll will be invoiced for each repair or replacement, with costs ranging from $50 to $420; outside or individually purchased insurance plans will no longer be accepted in place of the district program. Families may enroll or confidentially request a fee waiver through the enrollment link or QR code, and waivers are automatically processed for families using qualifying state services or MassHealth. Please visit NEW BPS Device Protection Program to sign-up or apply for a waiver.

This year, the Anti-Hate/Bias Taskforce will be expanding its focus to address racism, continue to advise our schools on how to respond well to incidents of hate/bias, and deepen engagement with community through a planned film & dialogue series modeled after MLK Breakfast. Hybrid meetings are anticipated to be monthly on Tuesdays evenings at 7 pm in the Bedford High School LGI Room and also on Zoom. The first meeting is tentatively scheduled for October 6, 2026. We are seeking individuals who bring diverse perspectives, lived experiences, and a shared commitment to safety and belonging for all community members who are willing to make a commitment for this school year. If you are interested in serving on the Taskforce, please complete this interest form to help us better understand your background, your interest in this work, and your availability to serve.
