It's May!! And May is busy busy and busy!! We are going to do our very best to ensure that everyone knows when and where to be to help us get through this last month of school!! It has been a great school year and our kids have done some amazing things this year. To our outgoing 6th graders, we have loved these 2 years with you and we wish you greatness in Junior High next year. To our current 5th graders we are so excited about how much you have grown this year and we can't wait to see the great things you will accomplish next year!!

This remind account is being set up to get ready for the 25-26 school year. If you will have a student at Pine Tree Middle School next year, please feel free to sign up. We will not send out any information through this Remind account until summer.

Help us celebrate all of our amazing teachers!! They have done such an amazing job all year!!

On May 6, PTMS will welcome our incoming 4th grade students to the Middle School for a tour. Students will be shown around campus and get to learn a little about middle school life from some of their peers.

On May 7th, 6th grade students will be going to the movie theatre

--This trip is for students only, no parents please.

--Lunch will be provided for all students. Please no lunch visitors on this day due to the shifting nature of the schedule.

On May 13th, 6th grade students will be taken off campus for their end of the year banquet. Students are encouraged to dress in their Sunday best for this event. This event is for students only. Unfortunately we will not have room to accommodate any parents. Thank you.

On May 15th, our 5th grade students will be going to Kilgore to visit several sites. This trip is for students only. All transportation and food will be provided to students.

Friday, May 16 has been set aside for Senior Walks around the district. We do not have a definitive time yet for the Class of 2025 to be walking our halls. As soon as we do, we will pass that information along.

Our last day of school is Wednesday, May 21. Our last bell will ring at 1:00 PM. Please make sure that if your student is a car rider that he or she is picked up in a timely manner. Thank you.

Three sets of letters have already gone home for summer learning 2025. Summer Learning will take place at PTMS from June 2-26. Any student that does not pass a core class for the year or does not meet the minimum attendance standard is required to attend summer learning as a requirement for promotion. It is very important that if this information has been sent home that it is completed and returned. Bus forms must be turned in no later than May 23. After May 23, your student will have to wait until the 2nd week of summer learning to ride the bus.

We hope everyone has a safe and happy summer!! We look forward to welcoming all students back to campuses on Wednesday, August 13th.

At this time we are planning to be fully open for campus visitors during the 24-25 school year. If you wish to eat lunch with your student, you are welcome to check in at the office and come to the cafeteria during their lunch time. Please do not drop off fast food for your student. If you have fast food, please come in and enjoy it with your student.
