This week ends our first semester and begins the LISD winter break. Students will have early dismissal at 1 pm on Friday, December 15th. The campus will be closed until Wednesday, January 3rd and students will return to campus on Thursday, January 4th at the normal arrival time. We hope the each of you and your families have an amazing winter break!
Esta semana termina nuestro primer semestre y comienzan las vacaciones de invierno de LISD. Los estudiantes saldrán temprano a la 1 pm el viernes 15 de diciembre. El campus estará cerrado hasta el miércoles, 3 de enero y los estudiantes regresarán al campus el jueves, 4 de enero a la hora normal de llegada. ¡Esperamos que cada uno de ustedes y sus familias tengan unas increíbles vacaciones de invierno!

As the first semester is quickly coming to a close, I just want to remind you that there are opportunities for your child to attend tutorials with each of their teachers. If you child needs assistance with their work, each teacher has a minimum of two tutorials times a week (one in morning and one after school) that they can come in to receive assistance. Please chat with your child or reach out to the teacher to determine when tutorials are so that your child can meet their highest academic potential in their classes.

Como el primer semestre está llegando rápidamente a su fin, sólo quiero recordarles que hay oportunidades para que su hijo asista a tutorías con cada uno de sus profesores. Si su hijo necesita ayuda con su trabajo, cada profesor tiene un mínimo de dos tutorías a la semana (una por la mañana y otra después de clase) a las que pueden acudir para recibir ayuda. Por favor, hable con su hijo o póngase en contacto con el profesor para determinar cuándo son las tutorías para que su hijo pueda alcanzar su máximo potencial académico en sus clases.
Students are scheduled to take their semester exams next week, December 11 -14. Please encourage them to study and turn in all their work/assignments so that the can finish out the first semester strong!
