As we close out another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the partnership, trust, and support you have shown throughout this journey. In a virtual learning environment, the connection between school and home is not simply important, it is essential. Your encouragement, communication, patience, and belief in your children have helped make this year one filled with growth, resilience, and meaningful achievement.

At eCampus Academy, we are continually reminded that learning is most powerful when students are challenged to think deeply, remain curious, and understand the โ€œwhyโ€ behind what they are learning. As we move into summer, I encourage families to maintain some consistent routines that support balance, responsibility, and continued growth. Simple habits such as reading daily, exploring new interests, asking questions, creating, problem-solving, and engaging in meaningful conversations can have a lasting impact on a childโ€™s confidence and development.

Summer also offers something incredibly valuable: the opportunity for exploration. Whether through travel, outdoor adventures, volunteering, hobbies, family experiences, or simply taking time to wonder and discover, these moments help students better understand themselves, others, and the world around them. Some of the most important learning happens when children are encouraged to explore with purpose and curiosity.

As we look ahead, I am genuinely excited for the opportunities the forthcoming school year will bring. We remain committed to creating a learning experience grounded in high expectations, strong relationships, innovation, and support for every learner. The future is bright because of the incredible students, families, and staff who make up this learning community.

Thank you again for allowing us to be part of your childโ€™s educational journey. It is a privilege we do not take lightly. I hope your summer is filled with rest, laughter, connection, and memorable experiences.

And wherever summer takes you, I remind you to please: Try Hard, Have Fun, and Be Kind.

STEAM Day at eCampus was full of creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning! Students rotated through a variety of engaging stations, including coding with Ozobots, interactive activities with Osmo, creating their own putty, and much more. The event also featured a special Earth Day station where students painted small flower pots, planted seeds, and took them home to nurture and watch grow. Middle School Rocket Launch ๐Ÿš€

Middle school students reached new heights this month as they custom-built and launched their own rockets at the Watertown High School! This launch day was the culmination to our annual eCampus Middle School Rockets and Motion unit. It was our fourth launch held at WHS--thank you to Mr. Widiker for giving us the go ahead to use the space. Students attended virtual classes during May to build several different vehicles/toys that illustrate Newton's Laws of Motion. Our last model was an Alpha solid-fueled rocket which we put into flight today.

Thank you to all of the families who made the trip to WHS to support their students!

Check out the photos and videos of students & families who gathered to watch their hard work take flight, making for an exciting day of learning, teamwork, and high-flying fun!

America250 ๐Ÿฆ… America250 ๐Ÿฆ…

As we reflect on another meaningful year of learning, growth, and connection, we are filled with gratitude for the strength of our virtual school community. Throughout the year, our students, staff, and families have worked together to create engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, encourage civic understanding, and prepare scholars to positively impact the world around them. Your partnership continues to play an essential role in helping our students thrive.

Our school proudly engaged students in educational opportunities connected to America250, the national commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Most notably, a schoolwide trip to the State Capital and Wisconsin Veterans Museum. Through this trip coupled with ongoing classroom based learning experiences and discussions, students explored the principles of freedom, civic responsibility, leadership, and the ongoing story of our nation. These learning opportunities encouraged scholars to think critically about the past while considering how they can positively shape the future.

As we look ahead to next school year, we are excited to continue this important work by providing additional opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of our nationโ€™s history and recognize the role each individual plays in strengthening our communities and country.

Thank you for your partnership in supporting our scholars throughout this journey. We are grateful for the trust you place in us and look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and celebrate together.

Highlighting Our Schools on Niche โ€“ Your Voice Matters!

At the Watertown Unified School District, we are proud of the work happening every day across our schoolsโ€”including our two innovative charter schools, eCampus Academy and Endeavor Charter School. Each learning community reflects our shared commitment to tradition, innovation, and transformation, and one way we can share that story with others is through Niche.com, a nationally recognized platform that rates and reviews schools across the country.

Why Niche?
Niche school ratings help families learn about the strengths and experiences of schools directly from the people who know them best; our parents, students, and staff. These ratings play an important role in shaping how our schools are seen by prospective families, staff, and the broader community.

What You Can Do
We invite you to take a few minutes to visit https://www.niche.com/k12/survey/, search for your childโ€™s school, and share your experience. Your feedback helps highlight what makes our schools special; our caring educators, personalized learning environments, and commitment to helping every student succeed.

How It Helps
Every review builds a stronger, more accurate reflection of who we are and the exceptional opportunities our schools provide. By sharing your story, you help strengthen our schoolsโ€™ positive online footprint and showcase the incredible learning happening across our district.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. Together, weโ€™re ensuring that our schools, and our students, shine brightly for all to see.
