West Side Elementary 2026
November Newsletter
A word from the Principal
Dear West Side Families,
As we head into November, we have so much to be thankful for at West Side Elementary!
First, thank you to all of our families who took the time to join us for Parent-Teacher Conferences. The conversations, connections, and partnerships we build with you are an important part of helping our students succeed. We are grateful for your continued support and involvement in your child's education.
We have also had some wonderful opportunities for learning beyond the classroom! Our fourth-grade students had the opportunity to visit the museum in Cody, while our fifth-grade students enjoyed a trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze in Riverton. These experiences provide opportunities for students to learn, explore, and create lasting memories. We are thankful for everyone who helped make these trips possible!
Looking ahead, we are excited for our upcoming music performances over the next two weeks. Our students have been working hard, and we look forward to seeing them share their talents with family and friends. We hope you can join us in celebrating their efforts!
Our November Mission Ready Focus: Independence and Commitment
As we continue working to show what it means to be Mission Ready at West Side Elementary, our focus for November will be on Independence and Commitment.
Independence means taking responsibility for our learning, making positive choices, and showing that we can take initiative and solve problems.
Commitment means following through on our responsibilities, giving our best effort, and sticking with challenges even when things get difficult.
We encourage families to talk with their children about how they can demonstrate independence and commitment both at school and at home. Small actions, like completing a task without being reminded or continuing to work toward a goal, help build habits that lead to lifelong success.
Thank you for being such an important part of our West Side community. We are excited for another great month of learning, growing, and showing what it means to be Mission Ready!
