Parent Teacher Conference letters went out to families this week via email. Conferences will be remote on Tuesday afternoon, April 25 and in person the evening of April 26. If you are having trouble scheduling a conference, don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office.

News from Parent Council:

Parent Council FUNDRAISING CALENDARS!!!

You are receiving 5 calendars (more are available upon request to the parent council). Each calendar is a $10 donation (CASH or Check made to JECC Parent Council).

All proceeds from calendar sales will help fund Teacher Appreciation Week, caterpillars in the classroom, Field Day, end of the year activities for students, and cultural arts enrichment opportunities.

The top 3 pre-k sellers will win a Squishmallow surprise. Please return sold calendar information slips, along with payment by April 28, 2023.

A HUGE thank you to all of the local businesses who generously donated these prizes. We truly appreciate the support and encourage JECC families to visit these businesses in the future.

Parent Teacher Conference Night Raffle Baskets:

Please visit the JECC Parent Council table at evening conferences on Wednesday, April 26th. They will be selling raffle tickets for 5 various raffle baskets, Super Friend t-shirts, Johnson baseball hats, and Rustic Marlin Weymouth blocks. All proceeds will benefit Teacher Appreciation Week, end of the year activities for students, and cultural arts enrichment opportunities. Raffles tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. Cash and checks made payable to JECC Parent Council.
Our themed baskets include: If Give A Mouse A Cookie, If You Give A Pig A Pancake, If You Give A Moose A Muffin, If You Give A Cat A Cupcake, and If You Give A Dog A Donut. Each basket includes a baking activity to do with your child and a corresponding book, stuffed animal, and gift card.
Not attending evening conferences? That’s ok, send in cash or check in an envelope labeled JECC Conference Raffle by April 26th along with your name and number and we will enter for you!

JECC Parent Council plans to host a ”snack day” for all teachers and staff on Tuesday, April 25th (which is 1/2 day due to virtual conferences).

If you rather Kelly do the shopping for you, and would still like to contribute you can send in an envelope with cash or a check made payable to JECC Parent Council by April 24th. Please be sure the envelope you send in says JECC Parent Council- April Snack Day

The Weymouth Child Family Community Center and it's affiliated programs are funded by the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and is administered by the Weymouth Public Schools.

The CFCE programs work to support all Weymouth families as their child's first teacher, develop community partnerships, and provide quality early educational experiences.

Looking for new members! Our current leadership team will be moving on to the primary schools this fall. We value and appreciate all that they have been able to do this school year for our students and staff. Please consider joining this amazing group of volunteers that provide support to our Johnson School community as we will be looking for future leaders for the 2023- 2024 school year.

Parent Council provides many opportunities for you to connect with other parents and become involved in the Johnson ECC school community. Parent Council supports our students and teachers with educational programs, supplies, and more. Parent involvement is the foundation for school success. Have a suggestion or a talent to share? We want to know!

All parents and guardians are welcome to attend monthly meetings.
