Costumes: Students may wear costumes to school. Please ensure they are safe, comfortable for independent movement, and free of violent accessories or weapon replicas.
Livestream: The parade will be streamed publicly on the district website and archived internally for Avon Grove families.
Photo Permissions: Because of the public stream, participating students must have photo permissions set in PowerSchool and/or notification in writing that the student can participate.
Please email your child's teacher directly.
Students not participating will enjoy fun, supervised activities in the library or purposeful playroom.
PBIS
This week, our students focused on being "Bucket Fillers" in the hallway:
Safe Feet: Walking quietly in a single line on the right side of the hallway.
Quiet Voices: Keeping voices at a Level 0 (silent) or Level 1 (whisper) so other classes can learn.
Respecting Space: Keeping hands, feet, and objects to self.
How You Can Support at Home:
Ask your child, "How did you fill a bucket in the hallway today?"
Practice: Remind them to use "walking feet" and "inside voices" in public spaces like store aisles, libraries, or doctor's offices.
Celebrate: Praise your child when you catch them following directions or staying safe in busy shared spaces!
Height and Weight Screenings
π©Ί Height & Weight Screenings
Annual height and weight screenings begin Thursday, October 22 and take about two days. Screenings are conducted privately by a school nurse or qualified healthcare practitioner.
Exemption Request: If you do not wish for your child to participate, please send a written request to Nurse Jennifer DiFelice at jdifelice@avongrove.org prior to Thursday, October 22.
