At this time, we are still waiting for completed FRL forms for 250 students!

We ask that every family enrolled fill out the Free & Reduced Lunch form every year to ensure that all families have the opportunity to take advantage of the program. If you have not yet completed the form, please turn it in as soon as possible.

The form can be downloaded here (English or Spanish) or picked up at the front desk. You may either drop off the completed form at the front desk or send a clear photo to Mr. Blake at blake.smith@cwckansascity.org - please feel free to reach out to him with any questions about the form or the FRL program.

1. Log into your Parent Portal (CLICK HERE)

2. Click on School Store

3. Click on Shop

4. Click on Products. At this point, you can view information about each club.

5. Add the club you want to register your student for to your cart

6. Click Submit to check out. Be sure to check the grade levels for each club before submitting.

Spots are limited, so please sign up as soon as possible! As clubs meet minimum enrollment, you will be charged the club fee in your Parent Portal and notified. Students may not begin until their fee is paid or a scholarship is confirmed.

Possible Club Scholarships:

We have scholarship opportunities available to families who qualify for free and reduced lunch. If you qualify, please complete this scholarship application (CLICK HERE) . Scholarships are limited, and they will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Join us on September 5th for our first First Friday of the 2025-2026 school year! All kindergarten through 5th grade families are invited. Here is the schedule for the day:

7:45 am - Classroom visits begin. Please allow your child to escort you to their classroom.

8:05 am - Caregivers proceed down the front stairs to MPR. Enjoy chatting with other caregivers!

8:15 am - Friday Morning Sing begins. Please sit in the black chairs and keep chatting to a minimum.

8:45 am - Friday Morning Sing concludes. Students will exit the MPR to return to classrooms with their teachers. Caregivers, please wait to exit until students have all left.

We hope you'll join us for this time of fun and celebration!

Our middle school students have been busy showing leadership and care for our school community!

Our Connection Crew has been hard at work welcoming new students and helping them feel at home here at Citizens. It’s wonderful to see students reaching out to make sure everyone feels included. In addition, our Student Leadership Team held its first meeting of the year. The students shared thoughtful ideas, many of which focused on helping others and protecting our environment. I look forward to seeing how their ideas take shape this year!
