Frequently Asked Questions about the Solar Eclipse at Oaks
Do you have viewing glasses for the students? Yes! Our PTO purchased glasses for our students to use to view the eclipse!
When will students view the eclipse? We have scheduled times for each grade level to spend 10 minutes outside watching the eclipse. The eclipse happens between 12:20pm and 3:01pm, so students will not be outside other than their viewing time to minimize any risk of them looking at the eclipse without approved glasses.
Can my student take pictures with their cell phone? No, unfortunately pointing your cellphone camera at the sun, even during the eclipse, will damage the phone's camera without a proper filter.
