Methacton High School News
January 23, 2026
NEXT WEEK:
Midterms are over! We are back to a regular schedule on Monday, 1/23/26 (WEATHER PERMITTING). If we are off on Monday, the first day of semester 2 will be Tuesday and it will remain a F day.
As of right now if the weather forecasts are accurate, Monday may be an official snow day where school is just closed. If we are off Tuesday and/or Wednesday, they will be FLEXIBLE INSTRUCTION DAYS (FID).
FID Instructions: Students should make every effort to complete and submit assignments within the normal school hours as this flexible instruction day is in lieu of an in-person school day. All work will be assigned through Google Classrooms. For students starting a semester 2 class, the Google Classroom Codes are listed below. Please join the appropriate Google Classroom for your elective.
Students will not be penalized for work that needs to be submitted later due to accessibility issues as long as the assignment is received within three days of our return to school.
SEMESTER TWO ELECTIVES ONLY: Google Classroom Codes
Flexible Instruction Office Hours
If needed, students will be able to contact their teachers through a Zoom link two times daily. See the below button for teachers' links.

SIGN UP NOW FOR COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE
The American Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage, and they need your support! Sign up for Methacton's next Community Blood Drive on Thursday, February 26 from 2:30 to 7:15 at the MHS Gym. With the flu sidelining donors nationwide and slowing recovery of the blood supply, hospitals need your help now!
ATTENTION GRADE 11 FAMILIES:
This is a friendly reminder to submit documentation of your student’s 11th grade physical (16-year-old well visit documents) if you have not done so already. Kindly provide this documentation to our School Nurses prior to the end of their 11th grade school year to avoid a school obligation. We are happy to accept a sports physical, well visit print-out or driver's license physical. Please include an updated vaccination record as well.
NOTE: Documentation of a Meningococcal A, C, W, Y (Meningitis) booster vaccine should be submitted prior to the start of their 12th grade school year in August 2026.
Please email all documentation to the School Nurses email.

MHS STAFF SAYS THANK YOU!
Staff Appreciation Lunch
A huge thank you goes out to anyone who donated to the Staff Appreciation Lunch that occurred this week. Staff was able to spend some time catching up with each other at the annual Home and School Staff Appreciation Lunch. It was so nice to eat (and digest) a real meal with our high school staff friends.
MHS HOME AND SCHOOL ROCKS!
Student Scheduling 2/2 - 2/10!
Use Power School to verify your child's schedule.
Students in grades 9 and 10 will schedule with their families on Power School from 2/2 - 2/10. Students in grade 11 will have individual meetings with their school counselors during that same time.
