LTE Community Update
July 30, 2026
Get Ready for the 26/27 School Year
Classroom Assignments - These will be available tomorrow Friday, July 31, by 10am in Infinite Campus. Emails from your child’s teacher will be sent out on Thursday, August 6.
Express Check-In is a Douglas County School District application that allows parents to update household information, sign off on district forms, update health conditions and select school fees. This application helps prevent families from manually entering in a full batch of information for numerous children in the household when checking in prior to the start of the school year. Please have this completed by August 12 (first day of school).

Balanced Beginnings for Kindergarten
Douglas County School District implements a special transition process for our Kindergarten students called Balanced Beginnings. The first days of school will be staggered, with smaller groups of students coming in rather than the entire class. This eases the transition into Kindergarten and allows teachers and students to build positive relationships, introduce the new environment and routines, and collect informal data as they begin their year with students.
Parents will have the ability to sign up for their Kindergartner on one of the following days:
Wednesday, August 12, or Thursday, August 13. These online sign-ups will be available once class assignments are released on Friday, July 31 after 10 am.
Please use the links below to sign Kindergartners up for one of the Balanced Beginnings days. Make sure to sign up for only one day with your child’s assigned class.
- Sign up for Mrs. Gale's Balanced Beginnings
- Sign up for Mrs. Reece's Balanced Beginnings
- Sign up for Mrs. Smith's Balanced Beginnings
The first full day of Kindergarten for all students will be Friday, August 14.
