GOAT's Weekly Update-March 6th
Colorado Sports Leadership Academy 2025-2026
Colorado Sports Leadership Families!
We have two weeks left before Spring Break! This is always an incredibly busy time of year as students prepare for state testing at the beginning of April, work to complete their learning targets, and strive to reach proficiency levels as they prepare for the next school year.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up on March 18th and 19th. Please continue to stay up to date on your student’s academic progress through Empower, ask them about how they are doing in school, and support them in completing their weekly math and literacy homework. The more they practice, the more successful they will be! Teachers will also be sending home specific information about how to sign up for conferences and what conferences will look like for students in Levels 7 and 8 next week!
This week has also been a fun and celebratory week at CSLA! We were excited to reward 280 students with Colorado Rapids soccer tickets for missing two days or fewer during the entire month of February. Our whole-school attendance average was over 91% for the month—great work! Remember, those who show up, achieve more.
We also celebrated students this morning with donuts for reaching their personal best score in math or literacy on the Renaissance assessments last week. I am proud to share that over 85 students achieved this milestone! In addition, more than 45 students reached their personal best in both reading and math, and they were rewarded with donuts and juice.
Keep up the great work! There will be more opportunities for prizes and celebrations connected to our upcoming CMAS state assessments and Renaissance testing in May.
Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is required for EVERY student, including those who have been with us from the beginning. Completing registration is an important step in helping us plan for staffing, class sizes, and student services for next year. Please be on the lookout for registration information under our new school name, Colorado Summit Leadership Academy (CSLA). Specific information on how to register can be found in the section at the bottom of this newsletter. Thank you for taking the time to complete this process—we appreciate your support as we prepare for another successful year!
As always, please reach out if you have any questions. Have a wonderful weekend!
