SHS NEWS & EVENTS
SHS DRAMA is absolutely, positively, and enthusiastically thrilled to announce our next production, Shakespeare's AS YOU LIKE IT!! The play centers around Rosalind, a young woman who has fallen in love with Orlando, and shortly after is exiled by her uncle, Duke Frederick. Following her paramour to the forest, she disguises herself as a young man and is joined by her dear cousin and Touchstone, the court jester to Duke Frederick. Whimsy and transformation ensue, as Rosalind happens upon Orlando, on the run from his vengeful eldest brother. Like A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this play has a variety of roles including young lovers, aging cynics, clowns, wrestlers, roving troubadours, country bumpkins, and many more!
This beautiful, funny, and moving production runs from February 12th-14th @ 7PM, and February 14th @ 2PM. Tickets $15 for Adults and $5 for Students, Kids, and Seniors, and may be purchased at the door, or through our ticketing platform linked below! Don't miss out on this glorious production!

New Online Absence Reporting Option Begins January 26
Starting January 26, families will have a new, convenient way to report student absences online using the Infinite Campus app or website. While this is currently optional for now, it’s designed to make absence reporting easier and help support regular attendance for all Shorewood students.
Through Infinite Campus, families can report:
Full-day absences
Late arrivals
Early dismissals
Parent-excused or medically exempt absences
For medically exempt absences, documentation is still required and can be submitted directly to your child’s school.
To learn more about reporting student absences through the Infinite Campus website, please click here for a brief introduction or here for a video. The Campus Parent (Infinite Campus app) is available both on the Apple and Google Play stores. If you need help with accessing Infinite Campus, please contact Iris Bohan at ibohan@shorewood.k12.wi.us for assistance.
CLASS OF 2026
SENIOR ADS! (A special note to your senior in the yearbook)
Hello Senior Parents,
We are now a little less than a month out from our Senior ad deadline on February 12th! These ads run in the back of the yearbook as a nice way to commemorate your student's achievement.
Since I have gotten so many inquiries about where the baby photos are going to go, I suggest this is an excellent way to include a baby photo in the yearbook for your student. You can design your ad directly on Jostens website. There is more information about senior ads included in this packet of information.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank You,
Rachel

SCHOOL COUNSELOR UPDATES
The counselors have begun Academic and Career Planning (ACP) conferences with junior students and their families. These conferences provide an opportunity to discuss post-secondary plans and answer questions about next steps after high school, including college options, admissions criteria, testing, essays, timelines, Naviance, and other helpful resources.
ACP conferences are 60-minute, in-person meetings with the student, family, and school counselor. Conferences are scheduled during the school day using SignUpGenius, so please coordinate with your student to find a time that works.

March 10 - ACT for JUNIORS ONLY
On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Shorewood High School juniors, in accordance with the state of Wisconsin state mandate, will participate in the required ACT plus writing test to be administered by a student’s high school of attendance. Our goal is to provide our 11th grade students with the best environment possible for success on this important test. The results of this assessment will be used by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as part of Shorewood High School’s Annual School Report Card. Additionally, Wisconsin high schools will be certified as ACT state testing sites. Scores from the administration of the ACT with writing can be used by students for a variety of purposes including college admission, scholarships, course placement, and NCAA eligibility.
Please remember that on Tuesday, March 10th ONLY JUNIORS are required to attend school. There is NO SCHOOL for freshmen, sophomores, or seniors on Tuesday, March 10th. Freshmen, sophomore, and senior students should not be on campus on this day. This will allow juniors to take their ACT test in small groups in classrooms and with multiple teacher proctors. Only having juniors in attendance will also help ensure that a distraction free testing environment exists. Juniors should arrive for testing at 8:00 AM and will be dismissed from school at the conclusion of testing at approximately 12:35 PM (students testing with approved accommodations may have altered schedules for testing and will be notified individually).
