April 20, Monday Memo
King's Highway Elementary
April 20th 2026
King's Highway Families,
Welcome to another great week at King's Highway! PSSA season is here, and we will begin testing tomorrow. As we enter this important time of year, I want to thank our students, families, and staff for the continued support and encouragement you provide every day. We are reminding our students that their best preparation includes getting a good night’s sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, staying hydrated, and approaching each test with confidence and a positive mindset. When students take their time, read carefully, and try their best, they show just how much they have learned. We are proud of their hard work and wish everyone a successful and smooth testing experience.

PTO Weekly Update April 20th
Field Day – May 15 | Volunteers Needed
Field Day Shirts Update
Thank you to everyone who came out to help with Field Day shirts last week. The kids had a great time tie-dyeing, and the shirts are already looking great.
Next up is adding the King’s Highway logo. We will be heat-pressing the Field Day design onto all shirts soon and will be looking for volunteers to help.
If you have a heat press and are willing to pitch in, please reach out at khspto841@gmail.com. Date is TBD and we will share more details soon.
National Volunteer Week
This week is National Volunteer Week, and it is a good reminder that everything our PTO does is powered by volunteers.
We are incredibly grateful for the small but committed group who consistently show up. Events like Field Day simply do not happen without you.
At the same time, we need more help. Right now, a lot falls on the same few volunteers, and that is not sustainable. If you have been thinking about getting involved, this is a great time to jump in. Even helping once makes a real difference.
We have opportunities coming up with Field Day, end-of-year activities, and planning for next year. If you are willing to help in any capacity, please reach out or watch for upcoming sign-ups.
Thank you to those who continue to show up and to those considering it. We truly need you.

Spanish Club
Spanish Club has wrapped up for the year! We would like to thank all of the students who participated and showed enthusiasm for learning the Spanish language and culture. A special thank-you as well to the advisor for their time and dedication. We look forward to welcoming returning members and new faces again next year
