Important Information
Student Safety
The Greece Central School District is committed to ensuring that all students have equal access to education, and partnering with our families to keep students safe is our top priority. Please take a moment to confirm that Greece Central has your current emergency contact information so we can make sure your child is cared for if you are ever unavailable. This includes an updated list of all trusted individuals authorized to pick up your child from school.
To protect our students’ privacy and security, the district follows clear, strict protocols whenever outside agencies—including law enforcement, social services, healthcare providers, or immigration officials—request student information, school access or student release. In accordance with federal law, our schools ensure every child in our community has equal access to a quality education, regardless of citizenship or immigration status, and we take all legally allowable steps to safeguard our students while they are in our care.
The easiest way to review and update your family’s contact details is through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you have not set up your account yet, please complete the portal registration form and submit it to your child’s school. Once we verify your information, we will email you an activation code to set up your password. If you need assistance, please contact the district’s Student Registration Office at (585) 966-2230.
Please note: To protect student privacy, Parent Portal access is limited to legal guardians, and your email address must match the records we have on file. If you have multiple children in Greece Central schools, all of your students will automatically link to your single account once registered.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.
School Attendance Matters
Greece Central School District has an attendance initiative. Daily school attendance for children is critical. The Autumn Lane School Staff made a video highlighting the many languages spoken in Greece. Check it out below!
Testing for English Language Learners
WIDA
WIDA is an assessment that English Language Learners will take in March 2027. WIDA is replacing the NYSESLAT that was previously given as a state assessment to monitor students growth in the English Language. Like the NYSESLAT the WIDA will measure students' abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing in English. Students in grades 1-12 will take the WIDA on the computer, and kindergarten students or those with testing accommodations noting paper will be paper- based.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations
English Village School
Retired bilingual kindergarten teacher, local author, and co-owner of Hipocampo Children's Bookstore, Henry Padron, came to do a Hispanic Heritage Month Assembly at English Village in early October. He taught some of the children in the K-2 Bilingual program a song and dance that they performed for their classmates in an assembly. The Greece Rotary donated a copy of Mr. Padron's book, Dos Two, to each classroom at English Village school. He also read excerpts of the book during the assembly. Fun was had by all!
Athena Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Community partners came to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Last week at Athena hosted by Community Schools. We were even joined by the Miss Puerto Rico of Rochester 2026 Queen!
