METHACTON HIGH SCHOOL NEWSLETTER: May 9, 2025 METHACTON HIGH SCHOOL NEWSLETTER: May 9, 2025

Three Hour Delay on 5/12 - 5/15:

MHS Parents,

On May 12,13,14, and 15 many students will be involved in AP and Keystone testing. Those students will report to school at the normal time. Students not involved in that testing will have a three hour delay start to school. Classes will be condensed and/or eliminated on different days throughout the week.

Busses will run at normal time for students taking Keystones or AP's and again three hours later for students not taking those tests.

If your child is NOT taking those tests and you are driving them to school, please follow all the normal procedures to drop them off between 10:15 am and 10:30 am.

NORTH MONTCO: YOU WILL HAVE YOUR AM, PM, or FULL DAY SESSIONS! You will only miss North Montco if you are taking the Keystones.

May is Mental Health Month! May is Mental Health Month!

May is mental health awareness month, a time to recognize the importance of mental well-being for all! As we approach the end of this school year, it’s a time to reflect on the progress we’ve made and the incredible work we’ve done together to support our students’ growth, both academically and emotionally. Belonging and wellness have been at the heart of our efforts, ensuring that every student, staff member, and family feels valued and supported. As we close out the school year, it’s important to continue fostering this sense of community and connection. Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. It's okay to not be okay, and it's important to reach out for help when you need it.

Celebrating Belonging and Wellness:

Throughout the year, we’ve strived to create an environment where everyone feels like they belong. Whether through Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, school-wide initiatives, or individual support, we’ve worked together to nurture a culture of kindness, empathy, and respect. These efforts don’t end with the school year—our commitment to belonging and wellness continues through the year.

School Rules Matter! School Rules Matter!

If your child is late to class or school three times or if he/she is using their cell phone at an inappropriate time, he/she will receive a detention. Detentions run from 2:30 - 3:30 Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Your child will choose the day.

If your child does not show up, you and your child will receive a message from the detention monitor, Ms. Quintois. She will schedule your child for another day. Please do not email Ms. Quintois about the detention. She is only the monitor and does not have any specifics about your child's misbehavior.

If your child does not attend the second detention, the assistant principals will become involved and you will be notified by one of them.
