Thank you so much to those who were able to help out, and sign up for an item off our Giving Tree! We were able to get all items for our kiddos, and bring them some Christmas joy!
A quick update on our popsicle fundraiser for Santa Cruz Island: We raised $958 before the weather turned, and we decided to take a break, and wait for warmer months! Thank you to all families who have generously donated popsicles to help us raise money for this trip! We can pick up selling again in the spring, when the weather gets warmer!
We started off our week with a super fun Read In Day in our cozy PJs! It was a great day to come back to school! In Reading, we picked up with expository text again, rereading "Winter's Tail". In Math, we finished up our unit on dividing decimals, and will have our test on Monday. Next up, we will begin working with fractions! In Science, we started a lesson on healthy ponds, learning what makes a healthy pond healthy and balanced. In Social Studies, we had an exciting week learning about the ins and outs of using Google Slides to work on our State Report. This week was our learning curve, as we learned how to take notes, write them into a rough draft, add photos, and manipulate text. In Religion, we celebrated the Feast of St. Nicholas, and learned about his history and legacy.
