OAE Parent/Carer Bulletin
Exceptional Education at the Heart of Enfield

Friday 3rd October 2025
On Tuesday evening, we opened our doors to welcome new prospective families and students to OAE. It was a roaring success, with all departments and areas engaging students in activities, that spark an interest.
Our wonderful staff body demonstrated their passion and expertise throughout the night, as can be seen from all the photos below. It was a fabulous display of all of the amazing work produced by our students everyday. Families definitely had a true taste of what OAE life is like.
We really did show ourselves to be the 'best we can be!'
A heartfelt thank you to all our staff and student ambassadors for their dedication in showing everyone that came, that OAE really is a community academy to be proud of. I would also like to thank the parents, carers, and children who joined and engaged with us on the evening.
If a neighbour or a friend is still curious to learn more about OAE, you are warmly invited to our weekly Open Mornings, held every Wednesday and Thursday until 29th October 2025!

Sixth Form Ambassadors
On Tuesday, the Sixth Form showed all our guests what a great school we have the privilege to work in.
Guiding parents and prospective students around the building, talking so positively about the school and supporting in departments, I felt very proud to be their Head of Sixth Form. In the hall, with Ms Robinson, Collins and Sumeyye delivered incredible speeches about their personal and academic journey from Year 7 into Sixth Form and their hopes and aspirations for the future.
Collins, having just started Year 12 is studying Biology, chemistry and Psychology. Sumeyye, in Year 13 is studying History, Criminology and Psychology and currently in the process of completing her UCAS application to study Law.
Year 10 GCSE PE Trip to the Copper Box Arena
This week, our Year 10 GCSE PE students had the fantastic opportunity to attend a EuroCup basketball game at the iconic Copper Box Arena, where they watched the London Lions take on top European competition.
Although the Lions didn’t come away with a win, the atmosphere was amazing and the experience unforgettable. Our students were fully immersed in the action, cheering passionately and soaking up the high-level performance.
A highlight of the evening came during the halftime break, when several of our students took part in a shoot-out competition on the court. Thanks to a 3-pointer from William Stubbs, his team secured a win in the contest and walked away with some brilliant London Lions merchandise!
It was a memorable evening of sport, teamwork, and inspiration — a big thank you to everyone who helped organise the trip.
Trainer donation to Students of OAE
If any parent/carers or students have old trainers—adult or children's sizes—that are no longer needed, we in the PE department would be incredibly grateful to receive them. These donations will go directly to support students who do not have suitable footwear for PE lessons.
Whether it's a pair gathering dust at home or shoes your children have outgrown, every contribution helps ensure all students can participate safely and comfortably. Thank you, Ms Cotter, Head of PE
Nut Free Academy
Please be reminded that under no circumstances should nuts or any food containing nuts be bought into the academy.
The academy is a nut free school, and we have students with severe life-threatening nut allergies.
Attendance
The Academy attendance target is 96%. We are currently at 92.3%. Your support in ensuring that you child attends school everyday is essential in securing success for them. Every day missed, means that opportunities to learn are missed and the chance of success is reduced.

Community Expectations
At OAE we embody our expectations in everything we do. We do this through our behaviours and attitudes, modelling to the young people at OAE and expecting to see the same high standards from them.
SEND
The local authority are currently undertaking a self-evaluation of the Enfield SEND Local Offer, which encompasses SEND services provided by the local authority, as well as health and social care.
As part of this evaluation, we are eager to gather feedback from the Enfield SEND pupils and their families that attend Oasis Academy Enfield.
The feedback will capture your experiences in accessing SEND provision as well as asking for suggestions for future areas of focus.

Our Ethos at Oasis Academy Enfield
Our ethos is rooted in what we believe and who we are. Grounded in our story, it is an expression of our character; a set of values that inform and provide the lens on everything we do.
- A passion to include
- A desire to treat people equally respecting differences
- A commitment to healthy, open relationships
- A deep sense of hope that things can change and be transformed
- A sense of perseverance to keep going for the long haul
It is these ethos values that we want to be known for and to live by. We are committed to a model of inclusion, equality, healthy relationships, hope, and perseverance throughout all the aspects of the life and culture of every Oasis Hub and academy community.
We encourage every member of our family, be that staff or student, to align themselves to these ethos values. The values themselves are inspired by the life, message and example of Jesus but we make it clear that we will not impose on anyone, the beliefs that underpin our ethos values. We recognise and celebrate the richness that spiritual and cultural diversity brings to our community, respecting the beliefs and practices of other faiths in the hope that we will provide a welcoming environment for all.
