Recess Reminder

This is a reminder that students will go outside for recess on days when the "feels like" temperature is 25 F or higher. Students need to have warm coats, hats and gloves with them at school. It is very important for physical and mental health that they get a chance to go outside, get fresh air and move their bodies around.

*If your child does not have a winter coat, hats or gloves, please let the office know. We have extra coats and hats that we can provide for your child.

In addition, there are several charities that offer coats to families in need. Please call 2-1-1 to get the specific locations. The district has the ability to refer you to The New Store at Mid Ohio ESC. In order to request an appointment at the New Store for clothing, you will need to call the school and talk to Mechelle Hairston, secretary, for the referral form.

Richland County Children's Auxiliary is the only nonprofit organization in Richland County providing new clothes to school children who qualify. Here's how we operate The New Store and help children in our community: The Richland County Children's Auxilary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity. We raise funds through grant writing, an annual fundraising letter, and fundraising events.
