Hello Barrett Families!

February is here, and we have lots of fun activities happening this month! Winter is in full swing and so are the germs! Please make sure to keep your child home if he/she has a fever. Your child must be fever free for 24 hours without medicine in order to return to school!

We have a few different fundraisers coming up! Flyers for our carnation fundraiser and our Hilliard's Chocolate Fundraiser should have gone home with your child. Our Sweetheart dance is on February 12th from 5:00-6:00. Due to limited space, we are allowed to take the first 25 AM students and 25 PM students who sign up.

IMPORTANT DATES:

January 26 - February 4 Hilliard's chocolate fundraiser! (Delivery by February 11th)

January 30 - February 6 Carnation Fundraiser (Delivery on February 10th)

February 6 - Patriot's Friday! Wear your Patriot's Gear to support the Patriot's in the Super Bowl!

February 12 - Sweetheart Dance 5:00-6:00

February 16-20 No School February Vacation

February 26 - PAC Meeting 9:15

Reminder! We are selling carnations through February 9th! Quantities are limited, so get your orders in ASAP! Send flowers to family members, friends or your favorite Barrett Russell staff members!

Please make sure you are on our text, email and phone call list for important notifications (especially during the winter months as school may be delayed, released early or cancelled due to weather). In the event of a delayed start, there will typically be NO AM Pre-K session. Information will be communicated in the call, text and email.

February 2-6 is National School Counseling Week! Thank you Ms. Tricia for all that you do for our students!

Hello Kindergarten and Pre-K Families! We are very excited to let you know that we have grant funding to support FREE family literacy nights at the Children’s Museum in Easton for Brockton Public Schools kindergarten and PreK students. We will have Brockton Public Schools educators at the museum to engage with you and your child as you visit and play at the museum. Our first night is scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2026 from 4:30 PM- 6:30 PM. Please see below for some notes about the evening.

• The event will take place on Friday, February 6 from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM and is FREE.
• Students must be accompanied by an ADULT family member.
