School Wide Information

CAASP Testing Monday's at 8:30am- Each spring, students in grades 3-8 and 11 participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) to provide information about their skills in English-language arts/literacy (ELA), mathematics, and science. Student's will be testing over several Monday's. Please click HERE for the most recent updates.
Join AVID- Looking for a rigorous and supportive academic program that will prepare you for college and beyond? IPSF Summer Programs- IPSF will be offering over 400 exciting and educational classes for student. Be sure to create or update your account information on the enrollment site so you will be ready to register for classes on March 22. https://ipsf.net/classes-camps/summer/
Summer College Program- Irvine Valley College and IUSD are excited to provide the IVC/IUSD Summer College program for summer 2023 at IVC. Made possible through funding from the City of Irvine's Measure BB, the program will run from June 5 to July 21, 2023. Current IUSD students in grades 9 through 11 and incoming 9th graders in the 2022–23 school year attending Creekside, Irvine, IVA, Northwood, Portola, San Joaquin, University, and Woodbridge high schools will be given an exclusive first-come, first-served opportunity to enroll in any of the following CSU- and UC- transferable general education classes. Calm and Connected Workshop- Parents will explore different attachment styles, discover strategies to promote a secure attachment and build connections with their child and or teen. Parents and caregivers will also learn that self-compassion is an essential parenting tool to building connections. Both in-person and virtual options offered. Abilities Awareness Event and Community Resource Fair- Join us April 26th from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Northwood High School. This event is intended to bring all of us together including community resources that support inclusive practices in Irvine to celebrate, connect, and inform. Additionally, the event will include music, performances, an art gallery, and more. Food will be available for purchase via food trucks.

High School Updates
Senior Class Information- Next week we will be mailing out our graduation letter, which contains detailed information regarding senior events and the ceremony itself. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 1st at 5:30 PM in the Northwood High School Theater. Information regarding tickets will be included in the letter you will receive next week.
Our first order of business is to ensure that we have a Cap and Gown ordered for every student who is planning on walking in the ceremony. Please take a minute now to complete a SHORT Google form. The survey must be completed no later than March 29, 2023. If you do not plan on participating in the ceremony, there is a place for you to note that on the form. This will prevent us from trying to track you down to order your Cap and Gown.
The short survey can be found HERE. Caps and Gowns are $24 – please see Mrs. Barajas in the office for payment.
Other upcoming Senior Events (information has previously been sent out):
Prom- May 12th from 6 to 10 PM @ The Villa in Anaheim.Tickets must be purchased by May 1st. Click HERE for more information.
Senior Trip- May 18 at Universal Studios Click HERE for all the information. If you are interested in participating please fill out this permission slip and bring it with you when you register and pay in person at Creekside Education Center.

State Seal of Biliteracy- Seniors interested in earning the State Seal of Biliteracy please click HERE to fill out the form to be considered.

IUCPTA Scholarship- The scholarship will go to graduating seniors and will be used towards continued education after graduation. Recipients must attend an accredited college/university, community college, trade or technical school within the first year following high school graduation.Qualifications: This scholarship recognizes students who are PTSA members and whom have performed service activities inside and outside of school.
