Caldwell Schools Board Report
Update from Zone 3 Trustee Travis Manning
January 2025
This update is intended to provide information on Board decisions, as well as school and community events.
ANNUAL ORGANIZATION MEETING
Each year, Idaho School Boards hold an Annual Meeting, as required by law, to elect officers and other required business. This meeting allows School Boards to Elect Board Officers such as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. Trustees nominated Travis Manning as Chairman and Trustee Marisela Pesina as Vice Chair of the Board. Trustees also nominated Manuel Godina as Treasurer and Jessica Watts as Board Clerk.
Board Members approved their regular meetings for the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. They also identified dates and times for board work sessions.
PATRON INPUT
We value your input as we work to develop and refine our policies. In order to ensure that our decisions reflect the needs and concerns of our school community, we are asking for your feedback and input on Policy 4190: Golden Activity Pass. Your thoughts and perspectives are crucial in helping us make informed choices that benefit students and staff.
Please take a few moments to share your opinions with us. We truly appreciate your time and involvement in this process. Thank you for your continued support!
KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES
No School - Wednesday, February 12, 2025
There will be no school on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, for Kindergarten students only. This will allow our Kindergarten teachers and Education Support Professionals to participate in a professional development day.
If you are in need of child care, please contact the Boys and Girls Club at 208-461-7203 to get your child registered.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to enhance our teaching practices.
OPEN ENROLLMENT DEADLINE
Thank you for choosing the Caldwell School District for your child's education
The Caldwell School District offers great school choices for families living inside or outside of the Caldwell School District boundaries. The District is committed to providing high-quality education opportunities for all students and fostering strong relationships between parents and teachers.
We recognize that some assigned school attendance areas may not meet the needs of families in our district, and some families live outside of our district boundaries and want to choose our schools for their children.
2025-2026 OPEN ENROLLMENT APPLICATION DEADLINE
The application will open the week of 1/13/2025 and is due by 2/1/2025 for the 25-26 school year.
