Hi students!

Tomorrow is the last day of school for seniors. To the Class of 2020: We will miss you! Congratulations on all of your hard work over the past 4 years. You are a talented, curious, kind, fun group of students and we cannot wait to hear what comes next for you. As you leave WHS, we hope you'll take some of these Wellness Wednesday tips with you! Good luck and congratulations!

Be well,

WHS Counselors

Keep in Touch

Whether you're a senior heading off on new adventures next year or a continuing WHS student, don't forget to keep in touch. These times of social distancing can be tough, but there are still ways to stay connected to each other. Share your screen and do a workout together! Have a themed Zoom chat! Check out a free online cooking class and bake together over FaceTime. Keep connecting with others!

Get Your Rest

We keep saying it. Sleep is important! Sometimes, though, falling asleep isn't as easy as counting a few sheep! Try jotting down your to-do list each night before you go to bed - everything that needs to be done the next day from calling your friend to taking out the trash to finishing your homework. The act of making that to do list can have a calming effect on your sleep since you know you've jotted down everything you'll need to do tomorrow.

Explore Something New

Even from your own house or your dorm room, you'll be able to explore all sorts of new places. Check out the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Visit the San Diego Zoo. Take a tour of the Great Wall of China. Check on the penguins at the New England Aquarium (Ms. Eaton's favorite). While there's lots we aren't able to do right now, there are still many opportunities to explore new places or new things. Who knows, you might discover a new interest!

Care for Each Other

If you've been thinking about ways to help others in your community, check out the Watertown Mutual Aid. Want to help from home? Write a letter to a local hero!

Express Yourself

Whether you're creating music that fits your mood (check out the Cove app), expressing yourself through a paint-by-number (try Happy Color), or talking with a friend or family member, keep identifying how you're feeling and find ways (like the apps recommended by Teddy!) to express yourself.

Have Fun

Take some time to have fun! Watch a funny movie, laugh with your friends, do something that you enjoy. It's been a long couple of months - take time to have a little fun.
