Fall parent teacher conferences are coming quickly! The window for scheduling conferences will open at by the end of the day TOMORROW and will close on Monday, September 28.

Fall conferences are a great time to connect with your child's teacher, discuss goals, and address questions you may have.

Conference Dates and Times

Tuesday, September 29th 8:00am - 9:00am and 4:20pm - 7:20pm

Thursday, October 1st 8:00am - 9:00am and 4:20pm - 7:20pm

Tuesday, October 6th 8:00am - 9:00am and 4:20pm - 7:20pm

Scheduling will be done using ParentVUE. Instructions on how to schedule your child(rens) conferences can be found here: Conference Scheduling Instructions

We hope we can count on your support as we work to raise funds for our PTO programs. For the EIGTH year in a row, volunteers from Cedar Island will be coordinating the event. By doing so, 100% of the donations received will go to our school! This year’s goal is set at $35,000!

Kick-Off: September 22nd (During school, students only)

Fun Run: October 2nd at 10:00am* (Spectators welcome to attend!)

We invite you to join us on the field on October 2nd to cheer on the students.

*In case of inclement weather, we have a backup date: Friday, October 9th, also at 10:00 am.

Cedar Island PTO

If you haven't made a donation to PTO for your student's school supplies yet, there's still time! $30 is the suggested amount, but anything and everything helps. Click the link below to pay electronically or send your money to school with your student.

Cedar Island is partnering with Every Meal to provide weekend food again this year.

All Cedar Island families are eligible to register. There are no enrollment requirements.

There are five bag choices to choose from: www.everymeal.org/food-bags.

To sign up: Fill out the brochure that will come home with your students this week or contact Jennifer Taylor (763-450-8122, TaylorJ2@District279.org).

If you have multiple scholars at Cedar Island, you may register them separately and receive one bag of food for each child. The bags do not need to be the same color.

You may cancel or change your bag choice at any time.

Bags will be placed in your child's backpack at the end of the week.

Veemah Integrated Wellness and Consulting Services will be providing therapeutic supports on site again this year.
